MyMedic Sidekick IFAK First Aid Kit Review
MyMedic Sidekick IFAK First Aid Kit Review
Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, especially when hunting. Wherever you go, make sure you carry a good quality first aid kit with you, just in case. The MyMedic Sidekick is ideal because it’s it only weighs 14.2 ounces.
My initial impression of the MyMedic Sidekick First Aid Kit is that it’s more of a bag than a first-aid kit. I love how the contents are labeled and organized in the bag, but this is a bare necessities first-aid kit. As someone who tends to be overprepared, I found myself needing to add items to the kit. Also, for my application (a hunter that just wants to throw the first-aid kit into my pack, I cut off a lot of the straps and removed the back velcro molle and buckle straps. This greatly reduced the size of the first-aid kit and weight. The items I added to the kit made up for the weight loss. MyMedic makes some great first-aid kits, but this one didn’t fit my needs as well as the others. In my opinion, the bag is overly-engineered and the contents could be increased slightly.
